What is Verizon Connect?
Verizon Connect is a provider of fleet management software solutions that provides GPS tracking and other services to help businesses manage their fleets.
What did I do there?
- Planned and developed a distributed Jmeter based Performance Test Framework with Node JS, Angular and MongoDB running on a Kubernetes cluster
- Mentored an intern during the architectural and implementation phase of the Performance Test Framework project
- Angular and .NET version updates of existing projects
- On demand performance testing with Jmeter
- Stored Procedure Performance testing
- Kubernetes upscale testing in an AWS environment
- UI Performance Tests with Loadrunner (Microfocus)
- Introduced Selenium and setup a framework
- AWS Lambda and Kinesis stream testing via Jmeter while extending the AWS Meter Jmeter plug-in in Java
- Rebuilt the existing NUNIT test framework to ensure accurate data initialization for streamlined testing with the help of a DAPPER database mapping
- Tool to help QA teams with content creation

Highlights?
We had an existing test framework for API and UI tests but the tests were very flaky and relied on static test data that could easily be altered and deleted for many reasons. I introduced a new pre-run, that created for every single test run the correct data constellation and that included customers, drivers, vehicles, routes and much more in seconds via a Dapper mapping.
I think the second highlight for me was when I successfully introduced performance testing, leveraging tools like JMeter and LoadRunner to ensure the scalability and reliability of our applications. This initiative significantly enhanced our ability to identify and address performance bottlenecks early in the development cycle. Later on I created the a Kubernetes based Performance Test Framework that allowed all teams to run performance test with different parameters 24/7
